Case Study
YouTube Coachella Activation
Scope
When the music gets louder and the cameras start rolling, brands need a place to make connections. For Coachella, YouTube created a backstage retreat where artists, creators, and guests could recharge, connect, and create content away from the crowd.
Solution
Working alongside Good Sense & Company, Rock Steady brought the YouTube Backstage Studio to life. Inspired by the colors and textures of the desert, the build combined custom fabrication, architectural details, branded graphics, and hospitality-driven design into one seamless experience.
Part lounge, part content studio, part festival destination, every detail was designed to invite people in and keep them engaged.
Results
The result was a space that felt right at home in Coachella while standing out from everything around it. The YouTube Backstage Studio became a destination for artists and creators to connect, collaborate, and create.
Proof that when thoughtful design meets expert fabrication, the experience becomes part of the story.
